Balmain Regatta 2022 - Work Boat Convoy

THE 2022 Balmain Regatta will write a new chapter in its long history when a convoy of working and historic tugs and work boats take part for the first time.

The work boat convoy will parade in line astern formation from the start line outside the BSC after the last of the sailing events have started for an hour and a half voyage around harbour landmarks.

The 2022 Regatta is the first fully public edition since the beginnings of the COVID pandemic and our shore-based Band, Barbeque and Bar activities will be in full swing again.

BALMAIN REGATTA 2022 schedule
Sunday, October 30

• 10am: Club premises opens.
• 11am: first sailing divisions start. Ferry service for workboat passengers begins.
• 12:30pm: Workboat convoy departs.
• 12:30pm onwards: Sailing races finish.
• 1pm: Barbeque and Bar service begins.
• 2pm: Workboat convoy returns.
• 2:30pm: Live music begins.
• 4:30pm: Sailing and Workboat Convoy prize presentation.
