Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron’s Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta

It is that time of year again when we start putting out the call to all female sailors in Australia and New Zealand to compete in Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron’s Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta.

This year the regatta will be held over the Queen’s Birthday Weekend from 7-9 June 2014.

The Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta is Australia’s largest and longest running, female only regatta and includes 3 days or racing (this year in 2 divisions) and social events each night.

All female sailors are welcome to compete, regardless of whether they are OTB or Keelboat sailors.

If your female sailors need help finding extra crew, a boat to sail on or accommodation, they just need to contact me via email or phone 03 9534 0227.

The regatta website is www.awkr.com.au. Entry opens in April and the NOR will be released soon. You can also sign up for our newsletter via the website, so that you keep up to date with everything that is going on.

Don't forget about the annual lecture series which is run in May. This year we have some fantastic speakers lined up. They will be announced soon.

We are also currently seeking boat owners who would like to lend their yachts to interstate teams.
