On board Penguin, Post Christmas Twilight

Hullo Sailors,

As the days get shorter there are just a few more races til the end of the Summer season. The Twilights have once again been our most popular series - is there anything better than heading down to the boat at 5 o'clock on a Friday afternoon? It's when the weekend begins!

The 2014 Presentation Night will be held on Saturday, 24th May. Save the date and we'll let you know when tickets are on sale.

The DA for the Pontoon project has been completed and lodged with Leichhardt Council and will go to a vote at the council meeting in April. A small posse from the Club will be there to speak in favour of its approval. If you feel you don't know enough about the plan for the new pontoon, please take time to read the information sheets which have been posted around the Clubhouse.

The BSC Sailing School is now offering an expanded range of courses and the new online booking system is up and running, as are the email marketing campaigns. This year, courses will continue into the autumn and winter.

The Committee continues to work hard for the BSC. There's still a need for capable volunteers to fill several positions around the Club so don't be surprised if one of us taps you on the shoulder and asks you to get involved. We'll make it hard for you to say no!

Thanks and happy sailing,
Angela Catterns.
