2014 Safety Inspections

As with previous seasons, 2012-2013 Safety Certificates expire at the end of the BSC Winter race series. Yachts intending to race in the Spring Sunday and Friday Twilight series must have valid 2013-2014 certificate to compete. Cat 7 is sufficient for these races. BSC requires navigation lights as an addition to Cat 7.

We will be running safety audits on the mornings of Saturday 16th August and Saturday 6th of September followed by a third audit morning on September 27th, all from 0800 to 1200. Please email the racing@balmainsailingclub.com and a time will be allocated for your inspection.

To assist the auditors owners should check off their safety gear on the YA form prior to the audit and have all items out and available to be sighted. Cat 7 forms can be downloaded via the “Instruction and Courses” page under the “Racing” tab on the BSC web site. There is also a link to the YA page for higher levels audit forms.

You need to be a paid-up BSC member to qualify for a Safety Audit. So ...
