| NSW Maritime is again auditing local
boats and have found that a number of vessels in the BSC area are not carrying
the correct size registration numbers and/or the current label. Some may
not be current as well. They will be issuing Formal Warnings and Penalty Notices for non-compliance and have given a 14 day period (from 15 July) to those with rego out of date or the wrong size number applied etc. Please note that it is a requirement of our Aquatic Licence that all participating vessels are registered and display the correct numbers in size and style - i.e. at least 100 mm high with contrasting colours to the hull and displayed on the transom of the yacht or both sides near the aft quarters. Fancy script numbers which cannot be seen clearly from 60 metres when underway are not suitable. Labels can go on the transom. Please ensure that your boat is correctly labeled and registered. |
